cotswolds, uk

in the english countryside,
there is a place beautiful and grand.
yet, it's wide open spaces cannot hide,
the sheep that graze its lush, green land.

strolling paths and streams are found,
around each bend and turn.
the people and food are also renowned,
we suggest you come and learn.

oxford, uk

we arrived in oxford on a blistery day,
with lots of cool wind and air blowing our way.
we visited various colleges and imagined university life here,
after seeing the library matt thought he'd like to try it for a year!
with pastys in our tummy we enjoyed a stroll down high street,
happy that the city of dreaming spires was such a welcome treat.

greenwich, united kingdom

on a sunny, sunday afternoon to greenwich we went,
to the old royal naval academy where officers were sent,
we also explored greenwich park and took a nap in the sun,
and stood on the prime meridian - we had so much fun!

london, united kingdom

after the wedding to london we did visit,
and we ate and played over five days exquisite.
eating and munching through town - such delectable food,
italian, middle eastern, indian, or english delights - depending on our mood.
we visited national landmarks, monuments, and charles dicken's home,
to book fairs, markets, graduation, and shakespeare's globe we did roam.
such a lovely time was had in england's fine capital city,
so much that returning to home and work seemed quite a pity.
