ifc mall, hk

during matt's lunch break one winter day,
on our way to the grocery store we made our way.
walking through the mall, we began to hear,
a big brass band playing loud and clear.
for another twenty minutes the concert played,
happily content with the music they had made.

kowloon walled city park, hk

once upon a time in hong kong,
a small ungoverned area grew very strong.
china technically ruled kowloon walled city,
but the hands off approach became something not very pretty.
33,000 residents lived in 6.5 acres before demolition,
when to construct a beautiful park soon became the mission.
matt and i took a walk around this hallowed place,
now preserved in time and space.

big wave bay, hk

on the second day of chinese new year my true love gave to me,
a sunny day full of turtles and sand at the sea!

so many turtles sunbathing!

making sure to get the most direct sunlight possible.

these guys were everywhere.

on the beach of big wave bay.

watching the "big waves" roll in.

view from the cliffs.

on the ding ding headed toward the beach.
